The WOOMcollaborative acknowledge that we live and have the good fortune to work on the traditional territory of Attawandaron (Neutral Confederacy), Anishnaabeg (Ojibway, Mississauga, Chippewa, and Algonquin), and Haudenosaunee Confederacy (Six Nations including the Mohawk, Cayuga, Onondaga, Seneca, Oneida, and Tuscarora Nations). We live and prosper on the Haldimand Tract, territory promised to the Six Nations of the Grand River, which includes land that is 10 kilometers on each side of the river, from mouth to source.

It is with gratitude and respect that we acknowledge the traditional stewards of this land, and that we work toward a time when Indigenous peoples who live on this territory, and elsewhere on Turtle Island, will regain their sovereignty, self-governance, and control over their ancestral territories. Until restitution is paid, we are all participating in, and benefitting from, colonial violence.
